We decided to start this service because of the limited resources available locally, well they are available but they either cost too much or didnt get us the price we wanted. We have used the Missoulian and yes their classified ads reach thousands and thousands, but if you want to sell a dresser, a pair of skis, or a dvd it cost too much to place the ad in our opinion and there is no guarantee youll sell the item.
We have had things that sold at a local auction service, which can be great BUT..we ended up selling a $2200.00 sofa set for $60.00 one time!(I sobbed for a week)
Another selling solution is Ebay and that can be great we have had some great success and continue to sell and buy on Ebay. The downside to Ebay in our opinion is that if you want to sell a $100.00 dresser shipping it costs more than what its worth…not very practical!
Then there is the romantic idea of having a yard sale/garage sale, I say romantic because most people I know who have done it end up hating it. We have had 2 and yes we made some decent $$$, sold some things I would have given to the goodwill….but it was a lot of work. we will still have a yard sale this summer because there is something about them I do love, kinda of a fun social thing.
So there you have it, a great place…EMarket Mt, a place to list those things you would like to sell!
EMarket Mt is also a great place to shop from the convenience of your home or office for anything….
